Anthony J. “Tony” Cox serves as Deputy Superintendent for Rock Hill Schools in Rock Hill, South Carolina. His 14 years of experience as an education executive is built upon a 22-year military career in the US Navy’s Civil Engineer Corps. Tony’s 12 tours of naval duty
included managing support services, facilities, construction, environmental and energy programs and projects across the globe.
Tony’s “Caretaker” team of professionals is responsible for operational support to Rock Hill Schools including Facilities, Construction, Technology, Transportation, Custodial and Food Services; and through Procurement, Energy, Environmental and Safety and Risk Management Offices.
He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and holds a Master of Environmental Health Engineering from the University of Texas (Austin) and a Master of Arts in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College.
Tony is a licensed Professional Engineer with registration in NC, SC, and FL, and is also a certified Acquisition Professional. He currently serves as President of the Catawba Chapter of the South Carolina Society of Professional Engineers. He is a member of the South Carolina Association of School Business Officials, South Carolina Association of School Administrators and the Rock Hill Chamber of Commerce.
