Tish Tablan is a Senior Program Director for Generation180, a non-profit committed to inspiring, empowering, and equipping individuals to take action on clean energy in their homes and communities.She leads a national campaign to electrify school buildings and transportation and power them with clean energy. Prior to her work at Generation180, Tish spent two decades working within nonprofit, public, and private sectors to implement sustainable solutions. Tish has consulted localities to improve solar energy policies and advised Fortune 500 companies on sustainable product design and lifecycles. She has also worked on national environmental advocacy campaigns to prevent fracking and gas pipelines on public lands and block offshore oil drilling in the Atlantic Ocean. She was a public school teacher for six years and taught environmental education at a public charter high school in Los Angeles that specializes in helping young people in low-income, communities of color develop green-collar job skills. She holds a M.S. in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins University, M.A. in Secondary Education from Loyola Marymount University, and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Virginia.
