Roy Sprague was a featured speaker at The K12 Facilities Forum’19.

Roy Sprague currently serves as the Associate Superintendent for Facilities, Construction & Support Services for Cypress-Fairbanks ISD (CFISD), the third largest school district in the state of Texas and the 22nd largest in the nation. He is responsible for overseeing 3,500 employees in eight divisions within the district which include facilities planning, construction, maintenance, custodial operations, energy management, food services, transportation and purchasing and handles all real estate acquisitions.

Roy has twenty-eight years of experience in the planning, design & construction of educational facilities as a registered architect and owner’s representative. He has managed the successful completion of over $2 billion of school construction and renovations for CFISD. He was instrumental in the development of their voter-approved 2014 bond program totaling $1.2 billion of new facilities, renovations, technology and security upgrades. Roy is a past President of the Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI). He currently serves on the National Board of Directors for the Collaborative of High Performance Schools (CHPS) as well as the Institute for Leadership in Capital Projects.
