Dr. Adam Larsen is a prominent leader in educational administration, renowned for his exceptional contributions to school operations and student achievement. As the Executive Director of Maintenance and Operations for the Peoria Unified School District, Dr. Larsen combines extensive experience in construction with a profound commitment to educational excellence.

Dr. Larsen’s academic achievements underscore his dedication to advancing educational leadership. He earned his Doctor of Education in Leadership with Distinction from Northern Arizona University in 2023, where his research focused on the role of innovation in the success of educational leaders. He also holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University (2016), a Master’s in Physical Education/Coaching Leadership from Ball State University, and a Bachelor’s in Technology Education from Brigham Young University.

In his current role, Dr. Larsen draws on his background as a journeyman carpenter, Assistant Principal and Athletic Director, coach, and teacher in the education field for 22 years. His leadership has been pivotal in implementing cutting-edge programs, spearheading significant facility upgrades, and building strong community partnerships.

Dr. Larsen has also made significant strides in educational reform, notably advocating for increased funding and improved student access to services, especially in the Career and Technical Education fields. His involvement in various state and national committees and professional associations further highlights his dedication to advancing the field.

Recognized for his impact and excellence, Dr. Larsen has received accolades such as the Teacher of the Year, AIA 5A Region Athletic Director of the Year and has authored scholarly works on leadership and innovation in education. He is committed to enhancing both classroom experiences and operational efficiency, reflecting his unwavering dedication to creating thriving educational environments for students and staff alike.
